The New HR”O”:  HR Officers Operating and Optimizing  the Global Business of HR

Outsourcing has become a product – a sourcing option of how companies choose to do business.  You know better than most that real HRO and RPO happen behind the scenes — the patient and painstaking rollout of complex payrolls country after country, the detailed work that goes into real multi-national workforce & talent management, the constant change management, governance, and oversight.

For this reason the “O” in HRO today means any combination of optimization, operations, outsourcing, organization, and outcomes to name but a few – so what does the “O” mean to you in the next phase of HRO?  HRO Today Forum APAC calls people together to define the future of HR by inspiring, educating, and engaging them in ways that prepare them to make the commitments necessary to change themselves and their organizations.

The Onsite Experience:  What to Expect

For 2012, our objective is to develop a programme that is highly interactive that allows for constructive engagement. We’ll look to hold three overall types of sessions.

Big Picture Plenary:  The macro issues shaping our world.
With the first afternoon plenary environment, delegates can interact with new data or insights on the big trends and issues shaping our overall environment:  the economy, politics, social movements, emerging technology.  These keynote sessions will kick-off the Forum with sessions intended to expand our thinking, broaden our horizons, and reinvigorate us as leaders.

Persistent Challenges:  What’s keeping you up at night?
Each year, through specific Forums, we focus on new and recurring challenges:  talent management, change management, managing partners, technology and so on.  In these sessions, discussion leaders kick-off the session presenting new data, approaches, or questions to a group of between 20 and 50 delegates who will in turn work in large- and small-group interactions to shed more light on the challenge and create take-aways delegates can apply themselves.

Unconference Deep Dives:  Rolling up your sleeves to tackle case-based challenges.
These sessions will dive into the specifics of individual cases, take on in-depth explorations into meaty issues, and provide delegates with the opportunity to work up-close with each other.  These are in-the-trenches sessions designed for peer-to-peer problem-solving.  Typically a discussion leader helps facilitate the discussion while the actual experience is generated by the participants themselves interacting with each other and the issue.

82% of 2011 attendees would recommend the conference to colleagues

The event is in Singapore in 2012 and again delegates will be able to plan their own event with a more modular format, choosing the sessions, workshops and breakouts that address challenges in their business. Providers and advisors will also be on hand to answer specific problems that the practitioners of HR may have so that delegates have the ability of bringing a specific problem they have to the event and leave with an action plan of how best to move forward from the market leaders in attendance.

The HROA (link) will again sponsor the event and delegates will be able to talk to the Association’s members to see how joining can improve and assist on their company’s road to HR outsourcing specifically.

We pride ourselves on strictly managing attendance to ensure a prominent level of practitioners so act now and secure your seat at 2012’s main event for HR!
