Payroll Panel

Addressing one of the more established areas of outsourcing - Payroll. Is
there still creativity to be achieved or is it simply process
re-structuring?

During this panel discussion, payroll experts and practitioners will go through the major trends that define payroll outsourcing today, and bring some answers to a fundamental question: is there still areas of improvement and innovation to expect from payroll outsourcing?

Panellists will have the opportunity to address the following questions:

  • What defines payroll outsourcing today? Is it really different than 5 years ago?
  • Is cost reduction still the main driver for payroll outsourcing projects?
  • What are the major trends and their possible impact on companies' practices and services delivered by HRO providers?
  • For those purchasing payroll solutions - where do their preferences lie when it comes to payroll – play safe with the tried and tested or constantly innovate?
  • What do practitioners focus on when it comes to selecting a payroll vendor?
  • Are comprehensive multi-country payroll outsourcing projects a reality?
  • Is the retained organisation the future area of improvement for payroll outsourcing?

Large Scale Organizational Transformation - UK MoD Defence Training Rationalisation

Discover how the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), in partnership with Metrix, is transforming the training management and support, of three types of specialist training that are critical to the UK Armed Forces, whilst managing, building and running what will become the MOD’s Defence Technical College (DTC) in St. Athan, South Wales. The Current Training involves an estimated 1.15 million participant-training days per year, with 5,500 trainees present on any given day.  When completed, the DTC will be the largest vocational training college in the country, and will provide the opportunity to deliver important changes in training delivery across all three armed services over the next 30 years. Following a 5 year period of Training Transformation. efficiencies gained will allow MoD to reduce its training requirement, without loss of front line capability, and the new college will cater for a reduced participant-training days per year of 0.75 million with an estimated 3000 trainees being trained on any given day:

During the course of the conference there will also be opportunity for sponsors to hold their own targeted meetings but these will be outside of the main plenary session and where noted on the agenda.

Conference Concierge and HROA Clinic

At any event it is critical that delegates leave with their questions answered. For HRO World Summit Europe we have convened some of the leading minds in the field – both from a buyer, advisor and provider perspective. Conference Concierge is an initiative developed by SharedXpertise where we facilitate the answering of these questions. Delegates can either submit their question in advance of the event or during the event on a concierge board in the breakout area. We will then facilitate an introduction with someone most able to answer the question and put the requestor in the right direction to progress.

In addition, we are also pleased to introduce the HROA Clinic for the first time. This is a dedicated area where practitioners can drop by and ask questions pertinent to their business. The HROA will be able to update delegates on developing standards, best practices and innovative approaches. Attendees can also be advised of new and emerging practices, services, tools and other solutions that the HROA are working on to assist in the future of the HRO marketplace in Europe. Both practitioners and providers will be on hand throughout the event for networking purposes and you will also be able to discuss the benefits of membership during the event as well.
